New work! I'm not able to say much about what these illustrations are for right now-details on that to come in a future post. What I can tell you is that this is the first time I've ever used Photoshop brushes to fabricate watercolor illustrations and wow-what a challenge! Making the watercolor look natural and intentional is much harder than you would think. I got hung up a few times on the first one, but after figuring out a few tricks, it all started to come together.

Each piece is made up of 2 line drawings, overlapped. 1 is a more lose, thin lined drawing and the other is a thicker, more deliberate outline. After I layered those 2 drawings, I added a paper texture behind and slowly started to add the watercolor blotches.
